New Tradition

Completely failed at Saturday. Heading city to the city to donate blood, I realised I’d forgotten to bring the paperwork that I needed, and subsequently the entire thing fell on it’s arse. Without the papers, I couldn’t do anything so I got off the train at the next station and stood around at Albion for a while.

I’m really irritated with that. I’ve scheduled another appointment for Tuesday, but that means that I’ll have until Tuesday to continue stressing about the whole thing. I don’t even know why I’m doing it, but I suspect it’s really just another something to torment myself with.

I caught the next train north intending to go home, but got off at Eagle Junction instead where I told Jeremy just how important it was that he meet me for lunch. We had dirty fried chicken, and walked to Nundah where I bought jelly beans and caught a train home.

It was a good enough day out, but I was disappointed that all my preparation led to nothing. I was disappointed doubly that when I re-checked the web site, I probably didn’t need any paperwork after all.
