It was a good ride too. We parked at Lindum station and rode to Cleveland.
It started out with two pretty killer hills. I should probably have checked the contours in the area before we set off because they were probably the only two hills anywhere in a billion kilometre radius.
We were trying to follow the cycleway down, but it was badly signed, so we got a bit lost and made our own way. It’s a good area to cycle in though. Most all the way down was either cycleway, cycle lanes, or both. The only time we didn’t have cycleway was when I took us the especially wrong way and we ended up down some residential street in the middle of nowhere.
It was a pretty long trip, so we accidentally had KFC for lunch and caught the train back. Here’s a map.
I dropped Jeremy at Virginia station (I took the car to get over the river,) and I went home and drank a bottle of Pepsi Max. Then I stayed up until four o’clock the next morning.

Please tell me you’re not going to attempt it tomorrow. I hear rumours of 35-degree heat. Me no likey.

I’m not looking forward to this heat one jot. You have my word, the thought of cycling won’t cross my mind.
