Dredged up from the drafts folder; never finished, sitting around, posted under the pretence of open blogging, but really I hate deleting such literary genius. Lo, historical gem from a few weeks ago:
This weekend Friday rocked up and surprised me. It usually does that, and then there’s a frantic rush around to find someone to do something with. You probably agree, spending Friday night at home is a boring thing to do.
Thankfully, Andrew turned up at my place after work and we hung out for a bit when the “Ohno it’s Friday” revelation struck, so I had a prime candidate to do things with. We called Paul and asked him if he wanted in on the unspecified shenanigans and he said “no”, so we made plans without him.
It ended up being an exceedingly uneventful night, but good fun nonetheless. We had a spontaneous LAN party, played Generals and ate Pizza. He beat me both times, which I have absolutely no excuse for. I’m a terrible player.
